“Do you expect me to talk?”
“No, Mr. Chance, we expect you to groove!”
After having been forced to retreat by the forces of good, led by crack Canadian secret agent “Wilson Chance” (Bunzendahl Brothers Productions, 2006), The Men From S.P.E.C.T.R.E. have once again emerged from their Alpine fortress to threaten the all-too peaceful musical society with “The Living Eye”. Can Agent Chance stop them again? Do we really want him to?
The Men From S.P.E.C.T.R.E. combine the best psychedelic groove (think Mystreated with a dash of the Stones’ “Metamorphosis” era thrown in for good measure) with the funkiest 60’s spy-fi and the swingingest library music this side of Hawkshaw and Mansfield. Add just a touch of cinematic flare a la Hugo Montenegro, and voila a recipe for an instant classic, their full-length debut for Hammondbeat Records.
Since their formation in 1997, The Men From S.P.E.C.T.R.E. have perfected their craft by releasing 2 popular full-length albums with Sheep Records in their native Switzerland, 2 highly collectable limited edition 7” vinyl singles and by making numerous compilation album appearances, as well as contributing several songs to the soundtrack album “Wilson Chance: The Sound Of Danger” (Hammondbeat, 2004). They now stand at the precipice of worldwide success with “The Living Eye”.
Standout tracks include “Black Tank”, “Apartment 23”, “Wild Driver”, and “White Russian”.
Look out, world! The Men From S.P.E.C.T.R.E. are back - delivering the hardest instrumental hippy-sh*t on the planet! And, this time, their plan is foolproof! Catch “The Living Eye”, coming soon to a CD player near you!
The Men From S.P.E.C.T.R.E. provided music to the film “Wilson Chance” and its virtual prequel soundtrack CD “The Sound of Danger” (2004, Hammondbeat). |
