WILSON CHANCE: THE SOUND OF DANGER is a filmic tale of espionage, action, danger, and what everyone needs... sex.
A mix of surfbeat, jazz, wah wah guitar and a bit of mambo, all effortlessly evoking every spy film you've ever seen. Vic Flick even brings in a big spoof Bond theme at the end, complete with a Bassey-like vocalist. This rises above being a mere Austin Powers-style mishmash of 60s and 70s spy cliches. It's the sound of a group of artists creating an affectionate homage to the golden age of slick secret agents and cooler than cool soundtracks.
Impeccably presented virtual movie/radio play soundtrack from the umbrella under which all manner of spy-minded groove machines lurk, caressing their mighty Hammond B-3 organs…and the singers? What singers? Hell, vocals are for squares, daddio!
The essence of excellent espionage film scores has been extracted and reformulated into a flawless record crammed with more secret agent vibe than a Lotus Espirit full of Q-engineered gadgets. The tunes are ferociously groovy, supremely a la 60s, and deliciously dangerous.
Filled with latin grooves, dangerous reverb spoilers, slinky spy innuendo, Hammond cookers and jazzy interludes, THE SOUND OF DANGER rights the many wrongs of the past 3 decades…this is how spy music should sound in the 21st century.
If you like rock, surf, garage, fuzz tone guitar, spy-fi or lounge music, it can all be found right here on WILSON CHANCE: THE SOUND OF DANGER. Lots and lots of Hammond grooves that ooze with fun and confidence…it's Bond, baby, but with a rocket powered pen shoved up it!
Includes songs by legendary 007 guitarist Vic Flick... |
